Guests consistently praise the hotel's superb central location, right next to the train station, which makes sightseeing, shopping, and dining incredibly convenient. The rooms are often described as spacious with comfortable beds and nice linens. Some guests have noted that the furnishings were rather drab and not to the standard of a five-star hotel. The breakfast receives high marks for both the food and service, and the hotel also features a well-stocked whisky bar, a lovely tea room, top-tier restaurants and a pleasant pool.

Underwhelming Stay at a Storied Hotel

small roomstandard tea bags
The room felt smaller than anticipated, especially the bathroom sink area. The toilet side seemed disproportionately large. Amenities also disappointed. The tea bags seemed rather standard. I EXPECTED more from a hotel with this reputation.
